Combine Biometrics with Other Security

Security experts are unanimous--always combine several security schemes to protect your computer data. Even with new biometric hardware security products, like fingerprint scanners, your confidential data is never completely protected.

Encryption software is always a good backup to hardware security measures. With encryption, even if thieves gain access to your computer, they won't be able to use the data.

Also, physically securing your notebook or desktop with a steel chain or cable is a great way to make sure no one walks away with it.
